    Elections Matter – VOTE!
10/24/18 - International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local Union 21
It is getting down to crunch time and we need every IBEW 21 member to do their part by voting and volunteering to help elect the candidates that will support members of IBEW Local 21.  Some may think this election will not affect our membership.  That is not true. All members are affected by decisions made at all levels of governments through laws, regulations, judicial decisions and appointments. This election effects both our private and public sector members. We have members in the public sector who are employed at the City of Chicago and Lake County Indiana 911 Centers, and who work in Vermilion and Peoria counties. They need all IBEW 21 members to protect their rights which are under attack. IBEW 21 union members and their families have the power to make change. Please consider the endorsed candidates.

    Vote NO on Question 3
    10/22/18 - IBEW 396
Sisters and Brothers attached please find the list of labor supporting candidates, we strictly support candidates not based on party affiliation, but rather based on their positions regarding labor. The single most important thing we are asking is that you Vote No On Question 3! Over 400 of your IBEW Local 396 Sisters and Brothers could lose their jobs if this horrible lie of a constitutional amendment passes. If you have any questions regarding Voting do not hesitate to contact me at the Union Hall, we need to start voting our paychecks and lobbying our hobbies. Every vote counts, Local 396 has become very influential at the Nevada Legislation and we need your help getting Labor friendly candidates in office and then we will hold them accountable to the promises they have made. Do not forget, Vote No On 3! Help protect your Sister and Brothers jobs, while maintaining low stable electric rates in Nevada. Fraternally, Jesse Newman Business Manager IBEW Local 396

09/03/18 - International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local Union 21
The Officers, Executive Board and Staff of IBEW Local 21 would like to wish all of our members a Happy and Safe Labor Day. Working people are the backbone of our nation and need to be recognized as such, both in word and deed. Too often, those working every day for a better life are forced to take a back seat to corporate interests which care only about their own bottom line. As we celebrate Labor Day let us remember the Labor movement has fought to gain benefits many workers enjoy today.

08/27/18 - International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local Union 21
Our Brother Chief Steward Mike Andel will be receiving the BrainUp Bravery Award at their 5K Run/Walk.  It is often said patients fight a battle with cancer.  In Mike’s case, cancer is waging a war to defeat our Brother who is refusing to back down. While undergoing treatments since last year Mike has shown incredible courage and commitment to his family and the Sisters and Brothers of IBEW Local Union 21 who he represents. He is an incredible father, husband and Union representative. While many have been assisting our Brother in his recovery, Mike is helping others defeat cancer by joining with BrainUp in their fight to find a cure. His commitment to others is unwavering.
